Good morning!
Second hard walking session and already a big surprise. My local river is home to many bird species, but I’d never seen such a big gathering in the 23 years I’ve lived in this area. Not only the usual ducks but lots of egrets and even the rarer dark-plumed Pacific reef herons.
When I arrived at the scene, they all took off upriver, which explains the blur I managed to capture with my humble little camera. Well, at least it should give you an idea of the chaotic situation.
I wonder if they were getting ready to migrate somewhere.
