A brilliant post, Gianni! It's really fascinating to learn about what happened in 1964 in Japan. Are you thinking of making this a series? I'd love to read more!
This article is incredible. It's the closest thing you'll get to numerology without getting too woo-woo. Do you have a #4 life path, Gianni? Add up your birthdate.
Many thanks for mentioning Suburban Notebook. I'm honoured and flattered that you enjoy it so much. It's probably the most enjoyable writing project I've undertaken so far.
A #4 life path? I'm not sure. By the way, in Japan, the number 4 (just 4, not 14 or 43 or 104) is considered a bad number because it is pronounced exactly like the word for "death" (there are many homophones in Japanese).
I'm looking forward to a new year of your poems. I love Suburban Notebook, though I must confess I also miss your astrology zines. They were so much fun.
You know, I don't normally get feedback on my work - not that I'm an attention seeker but it's difficult to create and keep in creating in a vacuum. So when someone takes the time to reach out and tell me that my work touches them, well, it touches me. I don't take it for granted.
Astrobabble was such a big undertaking with many hours of research, analysis and writing; I don't have it in me to that anymore (perhaps when I retire) but it's wonderful that people respond favourably. Suburban Notebook is a different project altogether - lighter, more right brain, and more enjoyable to produce.
BTW, I am in the middle of my #4 pinnacle. It's all about work and planning for the future in a practical way. In Western numerology, it isn't a 'bad' number but it is kinda boring. So far, my #4 pinnacle has been pretty good. I guess I need the order and stability that #4 brings.

Thanks, Jeffrey. That's a lovely idea. I could make it my end-of-year post.
On the other hand, I'm notorious for forgetting things, so please remind me next November!
While it seems like the most important date that year was February 7th (just kidding!), those "flood pants" are "sick."
I didn't get your joke, Mark. OF COURSE, February 7th was the most important date!
