Thanks Jeffrey. Yes, I truly love Tokyo, warts and all. I have a big project coming up next year, based on my explorations. Stay tuned and you'll see what it's all about.
Great read, nice photos, Gianni. I can relate - Summer is a bully where I live as well, altho' you can't say that to many Australians as they have a thing about HEAT (I don't get it).
I love the quote. It's true. When you walk without outcome, you are in a state of being. Screenwriter Julia Cameron wrote an entire book about walking as a spiritual practise (we may have had this conversation before).
Thanks Bekah. I used to love summer, back in Italy. I lived near the sea and went to the beach every week. Now I just wish I could spend July and August somewhere else.
I began to appreciate summer here in the Netherlands, where is rarely a bully, but autumn is still my favourite season. Walking with you is a joy, Gianni, albeit virtual. I hope to read more of your explorations.
Great post and quote, Gianni. Yes, the Tokyo summer has been brutal, hasn't it? But at least it's over. The mosquitoes remain for the time being.
Tokyo is a great city to wander around in, I find.

Can't wait, Gianni!
A good walk, Amigo.
I know you live a little far from here, but you are welcome to my little corner of the world, whenever you like.

Yes, you were kind enough to mention that book before. I should check it out. Right now, I'm into flânerie and urban exploration.
Summer... So many happy memories. I would definitely tolerate it better if I lived near a nice beach.
This simple slice-of-life post was so fun to read! Thanks for taking the time to share your summer, even though it was a bit of a bully…

Wow so cool I love trains! Where does it go from / to?
From Long Rice Field to Kiddyland stations!

Thanks Portia. I spent one week in Amsterdam and its surroundings, in August if I remember well (1996), and I have very fond memories.
I know you cover very different things in your lovely Substack, but if you ever decide to write about your living place...
